Policies
Booking fee
The first night will be charged at the time of booking. This booking fee is non refundable and will be retained by Westwood Lake Campground Resort in the event of cancellation or applied to the balance at the time of check-in.
RV cancellation
There is a 7 day cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days before arrival, then you will be charged 100% for the entire stay that was reserved. If you provide more than 7 days notice, there will be a 100% refund, minus the one night booking fee. One month’s notice is required if you are staying in a long term site. There will be no refunds on monthly RV Reservations. GST will be added to RV/Tenting sites.
Cabin/Cottage reservation
A credit card # (Visa, Mastercard) or a cash deposit is required to make a reservation, and the first night’s stay will be charged to your credit card (if you cancel it will be non-refundable). 8% Hotel Tax, 3% MRDT (Municipal and Regional District Tax) and 5% GST will be added for the cabin/cottage rentals. If you cancel within 30 days, you will be charged 100% of the cost for the entire stay that was reserved. Cancellations more than 30 days in advance are eligible for 100% refund (minus the one night booking fee).
Office & Store Hour
Summer Hours: 9 am - 6 pm | Winter Hours: by appointment only.
Gates
They will be closed at 11:00 pm and open at 6:00 am.
Check In | Out
Camping - 12:00 pm (noon)/11:00 am | Cabins - 2:00 pm/11:00 am.
Your thoughtfulness for leaving your site clean is deeply appreciated.

Quiet Time: 10pm to 8am
Speed Limit
Please, wheels barely turning (5 k.p.h.). Children, adults and pets
are a play - please drive carefully.
Laundry
Key entry only.
Please observe posted hours. All machines require loonies. Laundry soap may be purchased at the store (please do not overload machines). Do not leave your children unattented in laundry. No smoking.

- We appreciate your thoughtfulness for removing clothes from
washers and dryers promptly, cleaning the lint trap and leaving
the laundry room spic and span for the next guest. |
Washrooms
Key entry only.
Open 24hr (except when being cleaned).
Do not leave children unattended in washrooms. Pets are not allowed in washrooms. No smoking.

- Please leave tidy for the next guest.
- Please don't leave any food items in the garbage.
- Any problems, please notify us and we'll do our best to
correct them immediately. |
Animals
They are welcome in the park, however the following rules have to be followed:
* Your pet must be leashed at all times.
* Not allowed in any building on campsite, including cabins and cottage.
* Your must clean up after your pet.
* Do not allow your pet to make excessive noise.
* No vicious dogs allowed.
* Do nor leave your pet unattended.
Camp Fires
They are permitted in fire pits provided, do not move them. The following rules apply for having fires:
* Never leave fires unattended (this mean when you go to bed as well).
* Extinguish fires with water.
* Size of fire must stay within the rim provided (16 inch fire wood max lengths). Please, DO NOT MOVE THEM.
* Clean & Dry fire wood only to be burnt (No painted or treated wood).
* Garbage is not to be burnt in fire pits, we recycle the ashes. Do not leave garbage in pits upon departure.
* Fire wood is sold at office, during office hours only.
Mobile firepits are available at the office for the sites that do not have one.
Picnic Tables
Each site is provided a picnic table.

Visitors ($5.00 charge)
All visitors need to be register by guest ahead of time. Charges will apply. They must leave by 10:00pm as this is our quiet time and we will not tolerate excessive noise after this time.

- Registered guess who are having day visitors will be required
to pay additional fee.
- Overnight visitors (report to the office for registration.)
- Visitors parking are located at the entrance of the park
only.
- Overflow parking is allowed just outside the park, along
the roadside.

Recycling & Garbage
Please help us recycle by placing your waste in the correct bins,
located near the entrance of the park (fenced area), beside the sani-station.
Please, do not leave any garbage on your site at nightime.
Smokers: Cigarette butts are regarded as garbage. Please don’t
throw them on the ground (ashtrays are available at the office, if
required.)
Airtight, Water & Sewer Connections
Airtight and water connections is all we ask! - Sani-Station available
- please contact the office.
Smoking
Allowed in the great outdoors but not in any buildings on campground.
To avoid possible fires, please extinguish all smoking materials in
a proper container and not on the ground (ashtrays are available at
the office, if required.)
Alcoholic Beverages
Moderate drinking allowed within the campgrounds. Excessive drinking
will not be tolerated.
Motorcycles, Motorbikes or Powered Vehicles
We know they are fun but they are very noisy so please refrain from
using on park property.
Diesel trucks leaving early, please park at the front.
Messages
As a courtesy, messages for our guests will be posted on the bulletin
board. In urgent situations, messages will be delivered to your site.
Lost & Found
If you have misplaced or located a lost article, please bring it
to the office.
Responsibility & Respect
For everyone's mutual enjoyment, please respect your neighbours, the
environment, and the park property. We work hard to maintain a pleasant
environment for all our guests to enjoy; thank you for helping us
keep it beautiful.
Gate Parking
It will be closed at 11:00pm and open at 6:00am (you are responsible for all your guests). Parking is limited, so all visitors must park at the front or outside the park alongside the road. Unlicenced vehicles are not allowed in the park. Visitors park outside park on side of road.
