Westwood Lake RV Camping & Cabins

Welcome

Welcome to Westwood Lake Campgrounds located next to Westwood Lake
Park with safe swimming beaches and miles of well-maintained trails.
The lake is well stocked with trout and has a ramp for small boats.
The campgrounds have full services for tenting, RV sites, and rental cabins for
your enjoyment. We are 10mn from Departure Bay ferry, and only 20mn
from Duke Point Ferry.

Our facilities include a recreation center, showers, laundry facilities and
sanitary hook ups. We are on an easy accessed paved road just a short
distance from the Nanaimo Parkway Hwy and Jingle Pot Rd, exit 18
intersection. The Nanaimo Transit Bus also stops 100 m away from the
campground.

We are conveniently close to many areas of interest, Mount Benson, Westwood hiking trails, Morrell Nature Sanctuary, Buttertub Marsh, Malaspina College, Serauxman Stadium, Jingle Pot Pub, the Aquatic centre, Beban Park recreational centre and of course close to Nanaimo itself with its abundant attractions and nightlife.

The campgrounds is family operated by Ian and Ronda Johnson and we would
be pleased if you would stay and enjoy our website.

Activities You Can Do While Staying Wih Us...

MOUNTAIN BIKING
Nestled in the spectacular Mount Benson area,
Westwood Lake Campgrounds makes the ideal
base camp for mountain bike adventure. With a
hot, dry climate and hundreds of kilometres of
trails spidering from the park there is something
for every level of cyclist.

NATURE TRAILS AND ACTIVITIES AT THE LAKE
Over the last few summers, many guests have
relax on the sandy beaches and swam in the
refreshing clear water at the Westwood Lake.
Others have simply enjoyed casual walks around
the 6.5 km nature trail, which start with an
informative overview map of the local trails.

FISHING
As mentioned into our name, we are conviniently
located close by the shores of Westwood Lake,
which have the reputation for pan-size Rainbow
Trout, Cut Throat Trout and Bass.

HIKING
Whether you are looking for a scenic stroll or
a challenging coastal hike, Westwood Lake
Campgrounds can be your base. We can tell you
what to look for as you walk within the Mount
Benson area, or we can provide you with
information about various trails around Nanaimo.

BOAT RENTALS
Canoeing westwood lake is an experience of wilderness and wildlife. Clean fresh water, sand and rock can make this water trip a memorable adventure. We have a selection of boat rentals available to our guests. Just ask the front desk for more informations.
